Damascus-SANA

The poetry evening, which was held by the Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh in Damascus, included debates and poetic oppositions, in addition to prose texts in various emotional, national and social meanings.

The two poets, Dr. Osama Hammoud and Muzahim al-Kaba’, presented poetic debates and oppositions through which they came with similar emotional meanings in which Hammoud began by saying:

The whole issue is that I miss.. and longing realizes its secret from those who have tasted it..

The Kaaba objected to him on the same sea and narration, and said:

The whole issue is that I miss.. and I managed to beat my longing..

The poet Eman Moussalli wrote a number of prose texts in which she relied on images, flashes, and verbal metaphors, expressing social and emotional issues.

Teryaq Muhammad wrote prose texts in attempts to reflect reality and portray the subjective tendency within it.

The head of the Cultural Center, Rabab Ahmed, pointed out the importance of what the poets presented during the poetic opposition, which means that the two come with the same sea and narration, as a reminder of our ancient poetic heritage, which is subjected to the fiercest forms of cultural invasion because it bears all the foundations of defending the homeland and ancient history.
