Moscow, SANA- Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, affirmed that it is not possible to complete the work

Moscow-Sana

Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, affirmed that it is not possible to complete the technical procedures for operating the North Stream 1 gas pipeline to its full capacity due to European sanctions against Russia.

The TASS news agency quoted Polyansky as saying during today's interview that European countries are currently suffering from an energy crisis due to the sanctions they imposed against Russia, so we have to ask these reckless European politicians, including the British, who do not put the interests of their people in anything about the reason for these additional pressures on the European population. He stressed that Russia was and still is a reliable supplier of gas to Europe.

Russia had reduced gas supplies to Europe on July 27, after Gazprom announced that supplies through the North Stream 1 pipeline to Germany would be reduced to only 20 percent of its capacity due to technical problems.
