In appreciation of their excellence and creativity, the Ministry of Culture honored today the winning children in the competitions of the “Casablanca Festival for the Arts of the Arab Child” in its second session, at the Ministry’s building in Damascus.

25 children from Syria participated in the festival, which was held last May in Morocco under the slogan “The Arab Child is a Symbol of Unity” and lasted for five days, 25 children from Syria “virtually via the Internet”, where eight of them won various prizes. Arab from 18 participating Arab countries.

At the end of the festival, the child Marah Awad won the Golden Excellence Award for the plastic art and drawing category. The girl Aisha Barakat won the Golden Excellence Award for the poetry art category, while the child Muhammad Rumaih won the Special Committee Prize for the music and singing category. The creativity prize went to the girl Lana Namour and the child Hudhaifah Al-Tunisi. In the category of Singing and Music.

The honorary award went to the child Ashraf Al-Manasfi in the poetry art category, the child Moayad Awad in the singing and music category, and the child Muhammad Qari in the poetry art category.

The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, confirmed in a statement that the ministry is keen to sponsor creativity and creators and embrace the distinguished among them in the various arts of culture, and that the winning children in this competition were distinguished by their creativity, despite all the difficulties and obstacles that stood in their way, but they overcame them with their determination and abilities and the support of their families and their surroundings, so they reserved their places with ranks. The first in the Arab world with their melodious voices, poetry and plastic art.

For his part, the head of the office of the General Union of Arab Producers and the general coordinator of the festival in Syria, Ziad Al-Mouh, explained that the festival has a broad Arab and international character, and its importance lies in the fact that it brought together Arab children in the field of sports and art, where Syrian children were able to win 8 prizes in several categories, noting the importance of the honor initiative that encourages These talents give more, excellence and creativity.

In turn, a member of the Jury for Literary Arts, Rasha Al-Khadra, pointed out that during the competition, many Syrian talents were attracted, who imposed their creativity in the competition arena and raised the name of their homeland high, noting that the winners were chosen with high transparency that took into account the age differences between the children, as the conditions for selecting the participating children depended on sending A high-quality video that includes a talent show with a specific time period.

The child Marah Awad, who was awarded first place in the Arab world with the Golden Excellence Award in the Fine Art category, indicated that this competition is the first step for her and the strong motivation to complete her path, as her paintings included humanitarian messages for patients with cancer and Down syndrome, loaded with influential feelings in the recipient's conscience.

As for the two children, Moayad Awad and Lana Nammour, they expressed their pride in raising Syria's name in Arab competitions by winning these awards in the singing and music category, as it is a new experience for them.

It is noteworthy that the festival, in which 743 children from 18 Arab countries participated, was organized by the Union of Moroccan Producers and under the supervision of the Union of Arab Producers. This session, as well as educational institutions, witnessed the participation of orphanages and people of determination, as it included six competitions in various fields of educational theater, drawing, music, singing, technology and invention. .
