About a thousand residents of Sderot left the city today (Sunday) for a respite in several cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa, after days of incessant rocket barrages from the Gaza Strip.
"I don't have a medical center at home in Sderot and now my son and I are going to Haifa for a break," said Alona, a resident of the city. After hard days without sleep, we need a little break."
Just this morning a heavy barrage was launched into the city, and one rocket hit a factory gate in an industrial area.
There were no casualties.
Another resident said that "we are anxious, we want to take a break. We have been under tension for a week, we have not slept for two days, we prayed for some exit from the city."
