We have learned to deal with the mosquitoes, able to contain a cockroach or two, but what would you do if you discovered a deadly spider in your house and hundreds of offspring?

"Word of mouth apartments" here and now.

A Reddit user considered setting his house on fire with all his possessions and escaping, after finding a menacing black widow and hundreds of offspring inside.

A Reddit user shared the chilling photo and asked: "Am I burning the place down or not?".

Honestly, you can't blame him.

This spider looks like it's preparing its army of offspring for the next attack.

The post garnered thousands of comments from shocked users.

One wrote: "The school where I taught had to close for almost a week to deal with a black widow attack. I don't teach there anymore."

Another added: "I realize I'm lucky to have a nice clean apartment after seeing sights like this."

Another person said: "It reminds me of a friend of mine once putting on a sweater from his closet and realizing a few minutes later that there was a black widow's nest in there.

The black widow has a dangerous neurotoxin, but human deaths are quite rare, due to the fact that it is a relatively small spider that contains a small amount of venom.

In the United States for example, over 2,000 black widow bite cases occur every year and none of them end in death.

Earlier this year, a British man revealed that he had been bitten more than 100 times by widow spiders that infested his apartment, BBC News reported.

55-year-old Russell Davis was left with worrying bite marks all over his body.

He thought it was an allergic reaction to a past acne treatment, but quickly discovered that 12 female spiders and 10 male spiders were living in his apartment.

He claimed that the incident affected his mental health and that the company that owns the property refused to disinfect his house or pay for his treatments.

A spokesperson for the housing company said at the time: "We understand how unpleasant and inconvenient pests can be and we are sorry to hear that Mr. Davis is suffering from this problem. We are committed to solving the problem and are talking to Mr. Davis about the steps that need to be taken to support his health and keep the spiders out of his home."
