The European Union submitted a "final draft" of a nuclear agreement with Iran during the nuclear talks held in Vienna over the weekend, EU officials said today (Monday).

According to the "Al Mayadin" newspaper close to Hezbollah, a final draft was presented during the negotiations, and now the governments involved must decide what to do about it.

A short time later, Iran's official news agency, "IRNA", reported that according to a senior source in the Iranian Foreign Ministry, "we have held intensive talks in Vienna for the past four days on controversial issues." It was also reported that Iran's negotiators returned to Tehran from Vienna - And the Iranian government is examining the draft.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said yesterday that the success of the indirect talks between Tehran and the US depends on the flexibility of Washington.

This, against the background of Iran's request to renew the 2015 nuclear agreement with world powers,

The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Islami, said last week that Iran has the technical means to produce an atomic bomb, but has no intention of doing so.

About two weeks ago, Kamal Kharazi, a senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said a similar thing, and threatened that Tehran would react directly against Israel if it harmed it.

"In a few days we were able to enrich uranium to the level of 60% and we can easily produce uranium enriched to 90%...Iran has the technical capabilities to produce a nuclear bomb, but no decision has been made on whether to build such a bomb," Kharazi said in an interview with the Al-J Network arena.

In a closed briefing about two weeks ago, United States President Joe Biden's senior adviser on Middle East affairs, Brett McGurk, said that the White House estimates that it is "very unlikely" that there will be a return to the nuclear agreement with Iran in the near future.

According to sources present at the briefing, he stated that due to this assessment, the Biden administration intends to use sanctions and international isolation against Iran in the meantime "but without escalating the situation unnecessarily".
