An indictment was filed today (Monday) against three young residents of Tuba Zangaria for setting fire to the buses in Gush Halab in May.
The three are also accused, 19-year-old Muhammad Haib, 21-year-old Hussein Haib and 23-year-old Mohammed Haib of changing the identity of a vehicle and conspiring to commit a crime.
According to the indictment, submitted to the district court in Nazareth, the defendants arrived in their vehicle on the night between May 25 and 26 to Gush Halab, where they set fire to a bus parked near a bus stop and a short distance from residences.
Following the arson, the bus was completely burned.
In the investigation of the incident, the police collected photographs from cameras between Gush Halav and Sakhnin, where the suspects fled, and also collected evidence and testimonies linking them to the incident.
About a month ago, the three planned to commit another arson, and drove together in a car until they were stopped near the Amiad junction by the police.
A search of the vehicle found an "Arson Squad" that included: flammable material, ready-made torches, observation and burglary tools, flashlights, fake identification plates, gloves and a change of clothes.
Following the indictment, the prosecutor's office will ask to arrest the accused until the end of the proceedings.
In addition to these events, during that period 18 buses were set on fire at the central station in Safed, two buses in one of the city's neighborhoods, as well as eight buses in Kiryat Shmona.
The indictment does not attribute to three involvement in these cases.
