Walkers were amazed when a huge constrictor crossed their path below the Uhlberg Tower in Filderstadt.

Animal rights activists suspect that the reptile was abandoned.

Stuttgart - In the forests of the Stuttgart region, you don't actually expect to meet exotic animals.

Walkers who were out and about at the Uhlbergturm in Filderstadt (Esslingen district) were taught a better lesson last Saturday.

There, a python about 1.5 meters long crawled out of the bushes.

As the animal protection association Tierfreunde Filderstadt announced, the constrictor snake crossed the path of the pedestrians and then made itself comfortable under a small steel girder on the side of the road, as reported

.

"Since the site is very far from an inhabited area, we assume that the animal was abandoned," writes the animal protection association on Facebook.

"If it's lost and missing, its owner is of course welcome to contact the animal shelter."

Python sighting in Filderstadt enrages the network: "Unbelievable"

The Python message received mixed reactions on Facebook.

Some users were shocked and anxious: "Everything and everything is currently being suspended," writes one user.

"Unbelievable.

You can hardly have lost them." Another user commented: "Incredible - these animals have no place with us." Others, in turn, enjoyed the splendor of the reptile.

"Beautiful animal.

An offspring, easy to recognize visually,” comments a snake fan.

Even if the sight of a python probably frightens most people, you should know that constrictors are non-toxic.

People are usually not on their menu.

Pythons typically feed on birds and mammals.

Smaller pythons will prey on rodents such as rats, while larger pythons will sometimes eat a dog or goat.

In Indonesia, only isolated cases have been documented in which very large pythons have devoured adult humans.
