The exhibition (The Secret of the Rose) celebrated this evening a variety of artworks by a number of pioneering artists and others belonging to schools from the late artists to contemporary Syrian plastic artists.
The exhibition included 30 paintings and 10 sculptures from the holdings of Alf Noun Gallery for Arts and Spirituality with different themes, styles and sizes that presented scenes from artistic experiences of important names in the Syrian plastic movement.
In a statement to reporters, the Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, said that this exhibition carried with its works the secrets of aesthetic art with diversity in methods and topics, which prompts the recipient to meditate for a long time in each painting and sculpture, pointing out the need for the young generation of interested and studying art to learn about these works while delving into the history and schools of art To develop their tools and talents, with the need for fine critics to also take their role in revealing the secrets of artistic work.
The plastic artist, Badi’ Jahjah, director of Alf Noun Gallery, described the exhibition by saying in a statement to SANA: “We wanted to return to the public after a break of several months through this exhibition, which achieves the accumulation of awareness among the recipient while conveying the hidden secret of the artistic act and its aesthetic impact on the human being and his spirit to resist the circumstances. The difficult life within one musical harmony of the works displayed together in this space.”
