The head of the Judicial Subcommittee in Tartous Governorate, Judge Ghassan Asaad, announced that the number of applicants for candidacy for the local council elections from last Friday until the end of yesterday reached 91.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Asaad pointed out that the applicants are from different segments of society, calling on those who find in themselves the ability and competence to represent citizens in these councils to take the initiative to submit their applications, pointing out that the nomination committees are simplifying the procedures according to the law and order until the date of these elections.
Asaad noted that there are three committees to accept candidacy applications in the governorate building, and all departments that issue documents for candidacy applications have been directed to work from eight in the morning until six in the evening, which are the departments of civil status, the judicial registry, the Union of Farmers and Workers, and all the bodies that issue special data required for nomination from a commercial registry or Industrial for categories (A) and (B).
