A presidential election under tension in Kenya

Raila Odinga, a veteran of the opposition, confronts the anti-system candidate William Ruto against a backdrop of social crisis.

In Nairobi

The faces with tense smiles of the candidates stand on huge posters at the feet of which pass pick-ups delivering jerky political speeches.

Sometimes a crowd forms, as in the Lavington district this Saturday.

We are waiting for a candidate.

Young people sent by bus are waiting for the money they have been promised to form a meeting.
