On suspicion of abusing their toddler son and causing injuries to his head, the police arrested a couple of parents from Baca Algrabia.
The police opened an investigation against them today (Monday) upon receiving a report from the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center about a 4-month-old toddler who arrived at the center accompanied by his parents, suffering from bruises and bleeding on the brain.
As part of the investigation, the police officers from Baca Algravia collected evidence from the medical staff and detained the toddler's parents on suspicion of abuse and causing injuries as a result of shaking.
The suspected parents, in their 20s, were brought in for questioning and the police intend to ask for an extension of their detention at the Hadera Magistrate's Court.

In addition, the police today arrested a man from Ramat Hasharon on suspicion of assaulting his 3-week-old son after allegedly causing him to fracture his skull. A medical examination reveals that the minor suffers from a skull fracture and is hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
Gillot police officers began an investigation, during which they arrested the minor's father today (30, Ramat Hasharon) and he was brought to the police station for questioning, at the end of which he was imprisoned.
Tomorrow the police will ask to extend his detention for additional days during a hearing that will be held at the Peace Court in Tel Aviv.
