The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Elbanese, called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its ongoing crimes against the Palestinians and hold the perpetrators accountable.
In a press statement, Elbanese confirmed that the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip is a flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy, especially in light of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip as a result of the siege imposed on it by the occupation, calling for its lifting.
The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories condemned the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, describing it as a "blatant act of aggression".
