Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed the need for the final agreement on Iran's nuclear file, which is being discussed in the Vienna negotiations, to guarantee all the rights and interests of the Iranian people.
And Fars News Agency quoted Abdullahian as saying, during a telephone conversation with the European Union Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell today: "The Iranian negotiating delegation attended the talks with will and seriousness in the Austrian capital Vienna in order to reach the agreement and presented constructive ideas to settle the remaining issues." At the same time, all parties have to show their serious will in order to reach the final text of the agreement.
Abdullahian stressed that the final agreement must guarantee the sustainable and effective abolition of the embargo imposed on Iran and provide the rights of the Iranian people, expressing his hope to pave the path to reaching the agreement by being realistic and avoiding taking unconstructive positions, especially by the United States.
For his part, Borrell said that "relative progress has been achieved in the last round of the Vienna talks, and he will continue his efforts to bring visions closer in order to reach a good outcome for all parties," describing this stage of the talks as "positive."
The European Union announced earlier today the end of talks on drafting the text of the nuclear agreement in Vienna.
