After a Facebook "manhunt" with a pixel image: men pick up the "lost" garbage stove again

Peiting – Two men park an old stove at the container location at Peiting station in broad daylight.

The fact that they are filmed and a Facebook post by the mayor of Peiting goes viral: the two of them probably did not expect that.

From the front: When Peiting's mayor Peter Ostenrieder sees the footage showing two men illegally parking an entire stove next to a container, he doesn't hesitate.

He pixelated the pictures of the men on the recordings and humorously posted on the Facebook page "You come from Peiting, if...": "Unfortunately someone lost a stove on public land at the Peiting-Ost station today.

Luckily the whole thing was recorded so they could let those know where her stove is.

They are probably already looking for him and want to pick him up again as soon as possible.

Not that anyone else would even think of reporting illegal waste disposal, that wouldn't be good."

Stove definitely "lost" on the way to the recycling center

And it goes on: "Surely those were on the way to one of the recycling centers in the district (Peißenberg, Penzberg, Weilheim and Erbenschwang), where you can also hand in such devices free of charge.

They must have lost the stove on the way to one of the recycling centers.”

Weier, the community leader points out that signage at the container locations is actually quite informative if you read it.

“At the container locations there is also a sign that says what can be disposed of there.

Electronics of this size are not among them.”

recognizable faces

The mayor is calling on the public to help: "If anyone knows the owners who lost the stove, please tell them where they can find it.

I wish you success!

PS: the faces are pixelated for legal reasons.

They are easy to recognize on the original recordings, in case the cooker losers had to be officially identified so that they could get their device back.

Please share vigorously so that those concerned can get back to their stoves quickly.”

Only a few hours later the stove is picked up again

The post is shared more than a hundred times, clicked a thousand times and goes viral – at least locally.

The “lost” cooker was picked up again almost as quickly as the mayor reacted online – the Facebook community knew about it just one hour after the shutdown action.

"The men parked it in the afternoon and picked it up again early in the evening," Ostenrieder told Schongauer Nachrichten and teased a bit: "So the kitchen didn't stay cold on Sunday."

The reason he didn't press charges is because he wanted to give the men a chance.

"You don't always have to point your finger." The men probably didn't have a real chance of getting away.

"The recordings are razor sharp", so the police investigation would certainly have hit the mark.

And such a garbage crime with a complaint: it can get really expensive, the community leader knows.

More and more garbage at the container locations

What is humorously packaged here has a very serious background: Again and again, whole households are parked at the container locations in Peiting, including at the Schloßberghalle and in the parking lot of the ice stadium, Ostenrieder knows.

Chairs, prams, carpets - everything included.

Bauhof employees then have to drive the garbage to the recycling depots, where it can actually be handed in free of charge.

"Some people see the container site as a recycling center," says Ostenrieder angrily.

Of course, bulky waste would be picked up free of charge by the waste disposal service in other counties.

However, the garbage fees in the Weilheim-Schongau district can only be kept at the low level because the citizens transport their hazardous waste to the recycling centers themselves.

"And then it's annoying

At least in this case of the parked stove, it can be assumed that the gentlemen will no longer dispose of bulky waste next to a container in the future.
