IDF spokesman Brigadier General Ran Kochav reluctantly and unwillingly became the star of Operation Dawn, among other things thanks to a number of scandals he made on the air, which caused quite a few raised eyebrows and ridicule online - this, by the way, is in complete contrast to the activities of the department he heads, which is short Few achievements in the arena of international advocacy.
Now that the operation is over, he finds a way to respond to things, in an original way.
The most prominent segment that also became particularly viral was an interview he gave to Gideon Oko on News 12, in which he did not remember the last name of the senior Islamic Jihad leader who was eliminated, Taysir al-Jabri.
Kochav tried to cover up the forgetfulness by "not listening for a moment", while he is seen quietly asking the person with him: "What is his name?".
Knowledge is power.
Here is a first reminder
Later, after less than a day, Kochav said in an interview with Khen 11: "We are prepared for any development that may occur, this is one of the reasons for the recruitment of 25,000 dead", when he was of course referring to reservists.
Earlier, he repeated twice the "home front command" as the military units prepared for the operation.
Dead people are also being recruited.
A second reminder
Brigadier General Kochav's last outburst was when he said in an interview with News 13: "We opened strong and as they say in Operation Grandma, you open strong and increase the tempo.
That's how it will be in the dawn operation as well." Not exactly the right quote.
If grandma had quotes.
