Patrick and Nils are big Ballermann fans.

And so it only takes one and a half bottles of hard liquor for the "Goodbye Germany" couple to decide to take over a pub in Mallorca.

If that works out?

Mallorca - You get drunk and decide to open your own bar.

Many people know that - but what may seem like a great idea when you're drunk, usually turns out to be a crazy idea when you're sobered up.

Not so with the “Goodbye Germany” emigrants Patrick Zahn (38) and Nils Heidenreich (43).

Patrick and Nils emigrate to Mallorca with "Goodbye Germany".

Before they emigrated, the two had a party hut in their garden in Cologne, where they threw wild hit parties.

This concept is now to be expanded in Mallorca.

Because the Schlager fans take over a cult pub at Ballermann.

They used to be regulars at the “Könige der Nacht” themselves, but now the shop in El Arenal belongs to them.

When the former owner made them the offer, the two trained retail specialists didn't hesitate.

"We weren't really sober anymore," says Nils, classifying the crazy idea.

After all, a bottle and a half of vodka would have played a role in the decision.

"Then we said, in a spirit of booze: 'Come on, we'll do it'," said the 43-year-old.

Neither Patrick nor Nils have gastronomic experience.

As is so often the case, the next morning is followed by a rude awakening.

"What have we done?" they ask themselves upon waking.

A retreat is out of the question for the couple and so the two move to the Balearic island to realize their dream of their own pub at Ballermann.

Was that really a good idea?

The next episodes of the popular emigrant show will show.

"Goodbye Germany" emigrant Fabienne Charmi is already considering leaving her husband, because the family man is constantly partying at Ballermann.
