An earthquake measuring 3.4 degrees on the Richter scale struck today northwest of the city of Sohag in Egypt, without causing any casualties or damage.
And the Egyptian media quoted the National Earthquake Network in Egypt as saying in a statement: "The epicenter of the tremor is located at a depth of 5.5 kilometers and 17 kilometers northwest of the city of Sohag."
An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale hit northeastern Egypt on the 21st of last month.
