Baby dies in Bavaria from serious injuries – mother (27) suspected of murder

A 27-year-old is said to have killed her baby in Bavaria.

Emergency services were called to an injured infant - the three-month-old girl died.

The 27-year-old mother is said to be responsible for this.

Geldersheim – On Saturday (August 6), the Schweinfurt police were called to an operation with an injured infant at the Anchor facility in Geldersheim (Schweinfurt district).

The day ended dramatically.

The seriously injured, three-month-old child was in emergency medical care.

"According to the current status of the investigation, the situation indicates that the mother caused her child such serious injuries that the baby later died in the hospital," said the police headquarters in Lower Franconia and the public prosecutor's office in Schweinfurt in a joint press release on Monday.

According to the press release, the integrated control center received notification of an injured child around 9:45 p.m.

When the police arrived a few minutes later, the little girl was already receiving medical attention.

He died in hospital that same evening.

Arrested for murder: Mother (27) is in custody

The suspect has admitted violence to the child, the background is still unclear.

The woman (27) was temporarily arrested.

The suspect was brought before the investigating judge on Sunday by order of the public prosecutor, who issued an arrest warrant against the woman for murder.

She is now in a correctional facility.

The infant was autopsied on Sunday.

According to the press release, the preliminary results of the investigations confirm the impact of violence as the cause of death.

The investigations continue.
