The first week of the summer holidays brought numerous operations to the mountain rescue services in the Isarwinkel and Loisachtal valleys.
There were injured and exhausted hikers and a crashed paraglider.
Lenggries/Kochel am See – Not only did the Benediktbeur mountain rescue team have to move out in the first week of summer vacation (we reported), the volunteers from Kochel and the Isarwinkel also had their hands full.
An interim report.
Cyclist suffers from dizziness near the Schronbachalm
It all started for the Isarwinkler on August 1st at 4.46 p.m. when the mountain rescuers received an emergency call from the climbing forest on Blomberg.
A guest was on a platform on the verge of collapsing, the rescue could be difficult - that was the message to the mountain rescue operations manager.
"Fortunately, the person was able to be evacuated by the well-trained staff of the climbing forest and quickly recovered from the excitement on safe ground," reports Lina Feiler, spokeswoman for the Lenggrieser Bergwacht.
The volunteers no longer had to intervene.
By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.
The day after, a woman near the Schronbachalm suffered an attack of dizziness.
The Lenggries mountain rescue service, including a mountain rescue emergency doctor, went out to help the cyclist.
The patient was brought safely to the valley in the emergency vehicle and handed over to the BRK rescue service.
He brought her to the Tölzer city clinic.
Paraglider pilot gets stuck in the tree: Difficult localization
On Wednesday evening at 7.14 p.m. the crash of a paraglider in the area of Leiterberg was reported.
The localization of the casualty, who was hanging in a tree at a height of about 15 meters, turned out to be difficult because the pilot could not send any GPS coordinates from his position.
"However, other paraglider pilots were able to see the accident site from the air and informed the operations manager of the position," reports Lina Feile.
Three mountain rescuers finally freed the pilot from his predicament.
Two days later, the rescuers got the umbrella out of the tree.
Hiker gets lost on the descent and is stuck
Another mission was reported parallel to the rescue of the pilot.
In the Risssattel area, a hiker got lost on the descent, had already slipped several meters down the steep terrain and was now stuck.
The alerted rescue helicopter pulled the hiker up using a rescue winch.
Here, however, the localization of the trapped person was once again a problem.
The hiker could only contact the Gasthof zur Post in the valley.
"Fortunately, the landlord was able to locate the patient from the inn on the premises and thus instruct the helicopter crew," says Feile.
This significantly accelerated the deployment.

Injured boy is flown to the clinic
The next alarm from the Lenggrieser rescuers followed on Thursday.
A boy fell in the camp in Jachenau and suffered serious injuries to his shoulder.
The rescue helicopter Christoph Murnau brought the patient to the Murnau Accident Clinic.
On Friday, the Bad Tölz mountain rescue service in the Blomberg middle station area took care of two girls who were apparently overwhelmed and had suffered a panic attack.
Exhausted hiker must be rescued from the ridge between Heimgarten and Herzogstand
The emergency services of the Kochel am See mountain rescue service were similarly busy in the first week.
The Sunday before last, a hiker fell while descending from the Jocheralm in the direction of Sachsenbach.
After first aid, the emergency services brought the injured man down into the valley.
The day after, a hiker fell on the forest road from Kesselberg to the Herzogstandhaus.
Since the initial report referred to "a vital threat", the rescue helicopter Christoph 1 dropped a mountain rescuer and the emergency doctor at the scene.
But after the first aid, the approximately 90-year-old patient was brought down to the valley in an ambulance.
Exhaustion was probably the reason why an approximately 70-year-old patient could no longer continue on the ridge between Heimgarten and Herzogstand at around 5.45 p.m. on Wednesday.
The rescue helicopter picked her up and two companions with the winch and brought everyone to the mountain rescue station in Kochel.
Woman falls ill and has to be brought down into the valley by the mountain rescue service
The mountain rescue service had to move out again on Friday evening.
A woman was ill in the Herzogstandhaus and had to be taken down to the valley around 11 p.m. in the team vehicle.
There she was handed over to the emergency services.
Sunday brought the mountain rescuers two missions.
Around 4.30 p.m. the volunteers on the banks of the Kochelsee had to take care of a child with seizures.
Ambulance service and pediatric emergency doctor were supported here.
The helicopter brought the child to the hospital in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Only an hour and a half later, the rescuers moved to the H2 hiking trail, which leads from the Herzogstandhaus towards Walchensee.
A hiker sustained a back injury in a fall.
With the help of the rescue helicopter Christoph Murnau, the man was flown to the rescue station.
From there we went to the hospital for further examination.
Bergwacht praises good cooperation with helicopter teams and the rescue service
There is praise from the Kochler mountain rescue service for the "excellent cooperation with the helicopter teams and the rescue service," said Richard Huber, the deputy on-call manager.
Also good: "Despite the holiday season, there are always enough emergency services available." (va/bw)
