The initially missing 14-year-old Ayleen was found dead in late July.

A suspect has already been arrested.

Now there are new details.

Freiburg – Several days after the arrest of the suspect in the Ayleen case, there are new details about the alleged perpetrator.

14-year-old Ayleen had been missing since the evening of July 21.

The girl had left her parents' house in Gottenheim around 6 p.m. and had disappeared since then.

The police had been searching for the youngster with high pressure.

But the search with dogs and police helicopters was unsuccessful.

With the help of mobile phone tracking and technical surveillance, the investigators finally found the body of the 14-year-old girl in Teufelsee in the Hessian Wetteraukreis on Friday (July 29).

Case of the dead Ayleen (14): alleged perpetrator in custody

Three days after finding the body of 14-year-old Ayleen, investigators arrested a 29-year-old in Frankfurt.

The investigators told journalists in Freiburg on Monday (August 1) that there was a strong suspicion that the man had been murdered with the intention of covering up.

They also accuse the man of confiscating a minor and sexual assault.

The suspect is still in custody.

The man is said to have driven the girl in his car from Gottenheim in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district in Baden-Württemberg around 300 kilometers to the Wetteraukreis in Hesse.

In the night of July 22, both are said to have stayed longer at a lake.

Ayleen case: Suspect has a previous criminal record

According to the police and the public prosecutor's office, the suspect is known to the police.

At the age of 14, he attacked an 11-year-old girl from behind.

In 2007 he was convicted and placed in a psychiatric ward for ten years.

In 2017, the suspect was released from the correctional facility and placed under supervision for five years.

The 29-year-old is said to have molested a student in the spring.

At this point, the man's leadership supervision had already expired.

The alleged perpetrator is said to have been in contact with Ayleen for weeks

Before the alleged act, the suspect is said to have been in contact with 14-year-old Ayleen for weeks.

According to the police, the girl and the 29-year-old should have met on the Internet.

The investigators now have to evaluate huge amounts of data on communication in social media and an online game.

According to investigators, it is still unclear how the 14-year-old died.

The fact that the body was in the water for several days made the work of the forensic doctor more difficult, said the head of the Freiburg public prosecutor, Dieter Inhofer.

A first autopsy did not provide any precise information on this.
