At about 3 pm today (8th), a traffic accident occurred at No. 13 Moreton Terrace, Causeway Bay, near the Hong Kong Central Library. A Citybus was parked on the central line and was suddenly chased by a seven-passenger vehicle.
Fortunately, the impact was not strong, and the driver and passengers on the bus were not injured, but the male driver of the seven-passenger bus, about 50 years old, was unconscious.
An ambulance arrived at the scene and took the comatose driver to Ruttonjee Hospital. It is reported that he was still breathing and had a pulse at the time, but was eventually confirmed dead.
The police used a ruler to measure the distance to the scene of the accident, and the Citybus driver was also present at the scene to assist in the investigation.
It is understood that the police are investigating whether someone suddenly fell ill and fainted and caused the accident.
