The Wiessee building committee has approved a change of use from a "normal" to a holiday apartment.

However, there was criticism.

Bad Wiessee – Holiday guests instead of permanent residents: The owner would like to use the east ground floor apartment of his property in Bad Wiessee on Söllbachtalstrasse as a holiday home in the future.

At the most recent meeting, the building committee received a corresponding application for a change of use.

The agreement was granted - however, not all panel members were enthusiastic.

More and more holiday apartments in the town center: There's criticism for that

There was criticism from CSU local councilor Peter Kathan.

He made it clear that he did not like the trend that more and more living space in the town center was being converted into holiday apartments.

Kathan announced that he would therefore refuse his approval.

Proponents say: Wiessee can make good use of holiday apartments

Kurt Sareiter (CSU) assessed the situation differently.

"It's going to be a very nice holiday home for sure," he said.

The location right on the Söllbach is also okay.

"If the owner wants that, they shouldn't be denied permission," said Sareiter.

Bad Wiessee could also use holiday apartments.

Bernd Kuntze-Fechner (SPD) was also in favor: At this point there are already many holiday apartments around it.

According to Kuntze-Fechner, decisions must always be made on a case-by-case basis.

The building committee voted 7:2 in favor of the change of use.

The final decision is ultimately made by the district office, as explained by the head of the building department, Anton Bammer.
