Nesselwang - Special holiday guests now met District Administrator Maria Rita Zinnecker and Mayor Pirmin Joas: Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz was on holiday in Nesselwang.
District Administrator Maria Rita Zinnecker and Mayor Pirmin Joas (both CSU) have now been able to meet very special holiday guests in Nesselwang: Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and his wife Britta Ernst, Brandenburg Minister for Education, Youth and Sport, have spent their summer holidays in the shadow of the Alpspitz .
The program included a visit to the Nesselwang homestead.
“Ostallgäu is one of the most beautiful spots in Germany.
Nevertheless, it is not every day that you have such a high-calibre visitor as a Federal Chancellor.
That makes you proud," said the district administrator.
"My impression is that Olaf Scholz felt very comfortable in Ostallgäu and we would of course be happy to welcome him again."
"The meeting with the Federal Chancellor and his wife is a great appreciation for our market and the voluntary home care," added Mayor Joas.
"We would like to thank the security forces around Chief Police Officer Edmund Martin, who are doing an excellent job and who made this meeting possible in the first place."
As a souvenir, Scholz and Ernst were given a district backpack with a leisure map of the East Allgäu and a basket with culinary specialties when they visited the Heimathaus.
After visiting the Heimathaus, Scholz and Ernst signed the "Golden Book" of the district of Ostallgäu and the market town of Nesselwang.
