Because gas had escaped from a dispenser, the fire brigade had to evacuate a café on Peitingen's main square on Saturday evening.
Nobody got hurt.
Peiting – The employee of a café on Peiting's main square wanted to change the carbon dioxide bottles for the beer dispenser on Saturday evening (August 6th) at around 7.35 p.m.
Because a connector broke off, the gaseous carbon dioxide escaped through a leak.
As the Peitingen commander Klaus Straub reports, the operators immediately alerted the fire brigade.
Although carbon dioxide is not poisonous and only leads to a risk of suffocation in high concentrations.
"We evacuated the building anyway," says Straub.
According to the police, the surrounding residential buildings were also cordoned off.

There was no panic among the people who "loosely filled" the café.
The passers-by who were nearby would have reacted calmly to the fire brigade operation.
