The Director of the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Hama, Bassam al-Halabi, pointed out that the value of loans granted since the beginning of this year to date has exceeded 10 billion pounds, especially medium and long-term loans to the private and cooperative sectors, noting that there is a demand from farmers to apply for agricultural loans that have restored life to large areas. of agricultural lands after the terrorist attacks destroyed the infrastructure needed for agricultural production in a number of areas in the northern and southern countryside of the governorate.
He added that these loans worked to revitalize the agricultural sector and improve its productivity, both plant and animal, by financing small projects and providing the necessary capital to secure agricultural production requirements such as tractors, purchasing agricultural equipment, and investing in small projects that contribute to achieving self-sufficiency and supplying the local market with agricultural and animal products.
