A senior Iranian Foreign Ministry official announced that Enrique Mora, the European coordinator for the Vienna negotiations
Presenting proposals on the outstanding issues during the negotiations to the other parties, including Iran, to which it submitted an initial response.
"The proposals presented by Mora need a comprehensive study, and we will present our observations to the European coordinator and the rest of the parties as soon as they are completed," the official told IRNA, noting that during the last round of negotiations, positions were exchanged with the other parties and a number of proposals, and relative progress was made on some issues.
The Iranian official stressed that his country's basic principle in the negotiations is to guarantee its rights and interests of its people, and said, "The concerns of our negotiating team were how to implement the agreement, secure Iran's economic interests and provide it with guarantees on the sustainable implementation of commitments by the other side and prevent the recurrence of the illegal behavior of the United States." .
For his part, an EU official, who asked not to be named, said in response to a question from an IRNA correspondent, "The negotiations in Vienna have ended and the participating delegations will leave for their capitals to take a decision in this regard."
The official explained that the European Union is awaiting the response of the "4 + 1" group and the United States of America on the current text, and the European Union Foreign Policy Commissioner Josep Borrell will contact the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the Vienna negotiations.
For his part, the adviser to the Iranian negotiating team in Vienna, Muhammad Marandi, called on Washington for a text that guarantees respect for its commitments, and said in his account on Twitter, "Any agreement in Vienna must be clear and must ensure its implementation without hindrances," noting that the ideas proposed by the European Union were discussed side by side. Combined with other contributions to resolve the remaining issues.
Marandi added that the role of the European coordinator in the negotiations, Enrique Mora, is crucial, but it is up to the parties to decide in this regard.
It is noteworthy that the European Union announced earlier today the end of talks on the drafting of the text of the nuclear agreement in Vienna.
