Landesliga: Promoted Kaufering says hello from 1st place!

Kaufering – All VfL Kaufering players have probably cut out this table and kept it safe.

"I looked at them all night, couldn't sleep," joked coach Ben Enthart.

Sure: After the 2-0 win on Friday evening against Bayernliga relegated TSV Schwabmünchen, the Landesliga newcomer greeted from first place.

The newly promoted table leader (according to the official table of the BFV he stayed that way at the end of the day): "It's getting scary," admits the coach.

However: His boys are quite rightly up there, they have done well in the new league so far - apart from a weak half-time in Hollenbach.

The fans also appreciate that: More than 500 spectators - including half of the Denklinger team with coach Markus Ansorge, the Landsberg ice hockey legend Jockl Ried and many players and coaches from the surrounding clubs - came to Kaufering.

"It's unique," Enthart said happily.

"That has never come close to happening before."

Great spectator backdrop and a great performance by the hosts: The victory against the tail light was well deserved and never threatened.

Esad Kahric, the new Schwabmünchen coach, could only watch in amazement.

As a reminder: Last season, the guests played two classes higher than VfL Kaufering, offered a strong performance in the 0:2 against TSV Landsberg with a weak substitute - and now they had no chance against the promoted team.

VfL coach Enthart: "All in all, our victory was just as deserved as it was sovereign."

No contradiction!

A convincing defense that only allowed one chance to score, a strong midfield around "string puller" Sebastian Bonfert and returnee Daniel Neuhaus - and a lightning-fast storm trio that Schwabmünchen never got a grip on: That's three points!

Marcel Lex in the middle (until he left after a crash with goalkeeper Soma Orban), his substitute Thommy Hasche (after a long injury break) and the two wingers Tizian Hampel and Felix Mailänder presented the guests' defense with one unsolvable puzzle after the other.

"We're well-positioned on offense and unpredictable," the coach said happily.

And so one of his strikers also became a match winner.

Felix Mailänder (25), one of the "golden generation" of VfL, who returned to his youth club in 2020 after three "years of apprenticeship" from TSV Landsberg as a backup and whose parents are athletics, crowned his huge performance with the early 1: 0 header after submission by Kilian Pittrich (6th minute) and the 2-0 after Neuhaus preliminary work (43rd).

Enthart: “The time in Landsberg did him good.

He can decide a game.” Which the blond with the number 11 shirt impressively demonstrated against Schwabmünchen.

But the coach didn't forget the rest of the squad either: "It's great fun when a team performs like that.

We know that things won't always go on like this.

But now it is important to keep the momentum going for as long as possible.”

It's already going on this Wednesday at 19 pm.

Since the VfL at SC Olching (last 2:3 against Mering) compete.

And on Saturday (2 p.m.) co-promoted SC Oberweikertshofen comes to Kaufering.
