The farmers of Al-Hasakah Governorate continue to market their production of summer vegetable crops in the governorate’s markets, as the marketed quantity has reached 106 thousand tons to date.
The head of the Plant Production Department in the Directorate of Agriculture, Engineer Jalal Bilal, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the governorate’s production of vegetable materials usually continues from May until the end of September for some varieties, indicating that the current season’s production was good in the various types of vegetables that are cultivated, and it continues in Covering the people's need of these foodstuffs.
For his part, the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Ali Khalif, indicated that the governorate's markets contain various summer vegetables and fruits, which still maintain the stability of their prices as a result of the continuation of production and marketing operations by farmers.
The area planted with summer vegetables for the current season amounted to 6,323 hectares distributed in various areas of agricultural stability.
