Mattarella on holiday in Alghero, the expected arrival on Wednesday

Also this year the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella will spend his holidays in Alghero.

The arrival at the military airport is expected on Wednesday 10 August, barring last-minute unforeseen events.

The head of state is expected to stay in the Catalan city until Sunday 21 August.

Last year it was hosted in the Air Force guesthouse inside the Porto Conte Park.

For him in 2021, in addition to Sunday Masses and Ferragosto Masses in the Cathedral of Santa Maria, boat trips in the Bay of the Nymphs, a surprise visit to the Grotte di Nettuno and a greeting to the Palinuro training ship that together with the Vespucci were at anchor in the waters of the protected marine area of ​​Capo Caccia-Isola Piana.

Mattarella had also temporarily interrupted his holidays for an inspection by helicopter on the areas of Oristano affected by the maxi fire at the end of July.

During his holidays, there was also time for a brief institutional meeting with the mayor of Alghero, the prefect of Sassari and the extraordinary administrator of the Province.
