Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stressed that as a result of the current circumstances, the world has changed irreversibly, stressing that Russia has national interests that it will guarantee by all available means.

Medvedev stressed that Russia is carrying out a special military operation and at the same time is seeking peace on its own terms and not on those conditions that former partners in the international community, thirsty for Russia's military defeat, are trying to impose on us.
Medvedev explained that Russia was forced to intervene militarily in Georgia in 2008 and in Ukraine in 2022 because it had no other choice, noting that if there is an opportunity to resolve problems peacefully at the negotiating table, it must be done, but when there is no other way out, we must respond strongly To protect our interests, pointing out that both the Georgian and Ukrainian authorities left no choice in front of Russia and disrupted all the processes of political settlement of their disputes, so Moscow resorted to carrying out military operations on their lands.
Medvedev stressed that the correctness of Russia's actions was confirmed by the totality of subsequent events, including the catastrophic failure of the aggressive doctrines that the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili tried to put into practice, as well as the current crisis situation of the regime in Kyiv.
