The Directorate of Plant Protection in the Ministry of Agriculture organized ten seizures against centers for the sale and circulation of violating agricultural materials in the governorates of Damascus and Hama.
Director of Plant Protection at the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Iyad Muhammad, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that as part of the follow-up to the work of these centers, the officers in the Plant Protection Department in the Damascus Countryside Agriculture Directorate seized a center for selling and trading agricultural materials without an agricultural license and a quantity of smuggled agricultural pesticides in other agricultural centers Pointing out that the violating quantities were confiscated and three fundamentalist seizures were organized with these violations.
Dr. Muhammad pointed out that the elements of the judicial police in the Hama Agriculture Directorate, which are specialized in monitoring the centers for selling and trading agricultural materials such as pesticides, fertilizers and seeds, also organized four arrests against centers for violating one of them for possession of smuggled pesticides and three for their retail sale of pesticides.
Dr. Muhammad called on agricultural sales and circulation centers to refrain from trading smuggled and unknown pesticides and to ensure the validity period of agricultural materials displayed in the center, pointing out that everyone who did not complete the regular licensing procedures should hurry to obtain the license, otherwise his unlicensed agricultural center will be closed.
