The magnificent mansion, owned by Valery Kogan, who is close to Putin and the owner of the Moscow airport, was offered two years ago for 250 million dollars • Its price was lowered to suit the buyers who were interested in it from China and India • One of them: the Indian Gautam Adani, the fifth richest in the world, whose concern bought the Haifa port • "The mansion - at the top of the list of the most prestigious and expensive properties in Israel and in the world"

One of the most expensive and prestigious properties in Israel, and in the world in general - a magnificent mansion in Caesarea overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The villa, located not far from former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence, covers about 11 dunams (11,000 square meters) and its built-up area is about 7,000 square meters.

Two years ago, the initial marketing price of the estate was 250 million dollars, and recently it was decided to lower the price to 195 million dollars.

Itai Gurevich, marketing director of "Sotheby's Israel Real Estate" handling the sale of the estate, says in a conversation with "Israel Hayom": "This unique and magnificent estate joined our company during 2020, during the Corona period, and was offered for sale for 250 million dollars.

Recently we have been detecting interest from potential customers from China and India.

In order to adjust the price of the property to these markets, it was decided to adjust a marketing plan that included a renewed price assessment and lowering it to $195 million - which continues to keep the estate at the top of the list of the most prestigious and expensive properties in Israel and in the world."

The giant castle in Caesarea belongs to the Jewish-Russian oligarch Valery Kogan, close to Putin and one of the owners of Moscow's airport, Domodedovo.

Kogan also has another property in Tel Aviv - a huge penthouse, the price of which also recently dropped by about 20 million dollars, from 65 to 49 million dollars.

According to sources in the real estate market, the reason for the price reduction is not the need to liquidate the funds due to Russia's economic situation, but to adjust the property to a potential buyer. According to the same sources, the person who is now interested in purchasing the estate is the Indian Gautam Adani, ranked fifth among the world's richest, and whose corporation he owns purchased the port of Haifa.

The arrival of oligarchs in Israel beginning in the second half of the 1990s, occurred at the same time as the start of Israel's gallop to greater gaps, when the oligarchs, rightly or wrongly, became a symbol of the new Israel.
