8000 guests at the mega beach party at Kronthaler Weiher.

Only two fights marred the peaceful celebration.

Erding

– The WeiherFeia on Saturday was just great fun for 8000 visitors.

But not all party guests remained peaceful.

The police station in Erding reports two fights (see end of article).

Already the first song by the band Tetrapack was fun.

They played "Mit dir lafft's" by the local heroes from DeSchoWieda.

Actually, it should have been "Heid lafft's" - because the rush to Erding's biggest beach party on Saturday at Kronthaler Weiher was huge.

For the tenth time, the Erding water rescue service organized the festival with partner Erdinger Weißbräu.

The proceeds go back to the lifeguards at the large Erding recreation area.

Water rescue chairman Bernd Janowsky was overwhelmed after a two-year Corona break when he was greeted: "It's nice that you're all back!" he called from the stage.

At the start of the anniversary WeiherFeia, the Erdinger Stadtkapelle played for the guests in the afternoon in the cozy party area, into which the organization team had transformed the bathing paradise.

At a pleasant 22 degrees, 3000 seats and 100 standing tables in the giant beer garden were quickly filled.

The volunteers from the water rescue service and regional partners worked at full speed to provide the many guests with food and drink.

There was something for every palate with the diverse range of doner kebabs, burgers and crêpes, fish on a stick, sausages and ox shreds through to vegan cuisine and chicken nuggets and fries for children.

Summer drinks and cocktails were served in green plastic party cups at the water rescue beach bar.

Some guests comfortably chilled in sun loungers in the lounge area while the children played in the sand.

For a small donation, the water rescue service offered boat trips on the pond again.

The mini golf course and the trampoline were also open.

For the first time, the organization “Müll EVERYWHERE” supported the water rescue service during the party with small handcarts for waste disposal and the subsequent clean-up work.

From 6 p.m. the Erdinger party band Tetrapack heated up the big stage alternately with Antenne Bayern DJ Sebastian Schäch.

Party guests repeatedly demanded the controversial summer hit "Layla" in chants.

The DJ complied and played the song several times.

Young people between the ages of 14 and 16 were allowed to celebrate until midnight thanks to a special permit.

After the glowing red sun had said goodbye over the pond, the trees on the site shone colorfully, illuminated by lights.

Little by little, many fires were lit on the beach - a special atmosphere until the end of the party at 1 a.m.

Record of the police

According to the police, there was an argument between three young men aged 20 to 24 around 12.40 a.m.

A private argument was the starting point, then fists flew.

A 24-year-old suffered a broken nose and was therefore taken to the hospital, a 20-year-old injured his right hand.

Four uninvolved witnesses between the ages of 21 and 25 intervened to separate the disputers.

A 25-year-old was injured in the shoulder.

Earlier in the evening, two groups of revelers between the ages of 19 and 26 clashed at the mega party at Kronthaler Weiher.

During the argument, a hitherto unknown hit a 19-year-old with his fist on his glasses.

The young man suffered a cut on his nose and his glasses broke.

A 20-year-old from the other group was allegedly hit three times in the back of the head by a 26-year-old from the rival side, suffering minor bruises.

All injured were treated on site.

A bump in the park between 9:00 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. does not have such a serious impact on these acts of violence.

During this time, an 18-year-old parked his blue VW Passat in the Kronthaler Weiher parking lot.

When he returned to the car, he found scratches and dents all over the passenger side.

The property damage is around 2000 euros.

The Erding police station asks for relevant information on Tel. (0 81 22) 968-0.
