Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora announced today his country's readiness to join the process of establishing relations between Pyongyang and the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
"As far as I know, my colleagues in the embassies of the three countries accredited in Russia have already established wonderful working relations, and they are actively involved in contacts to work on issues of cooperation at the bilateral and trilateral level in various fields," Matsegura said in an interview with the Russian TASS news agency.
The diplomat added that "if necessary and if we get the required instructions from Moscow, the embassy will join this effort in the most active way as we have the experience and knowledge to share with them and it may be useful to our friends."
Last month, the DPRK announced its official recognition of the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and expressed its desire to develop friendly governmental relations with them.
