Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Military and Civil Administration Council of the Zaporozhye region, announced today the repulsion of a new Ukrainian strike on the city of Melitopol.
"In the early hours of this morning, the Russian air defense systems protected the citizens of Melitopol from another missile attack carried out by militants loyal to the Kyiv authorities," TASS news agency quoted Rogov as saying.
The authorities of the city's Energodar region announced yesterday that Kyiv forces are trying to damage the Zaporozhye nuclear plant, threatening to destroy its power unit and endanger the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
