The school's first charity run was worth it: the elementary and middle school in Oberding each donated 3,000 euros to the Tafel, the Sophienhospice and the Lebenshilfe.
Oberding
– For the first time this year, the elementary and middle school in Oberding also organized a charity run – and it was a huge success.
Headmaster Johann Deschu had expected a high three-digit amount in advance, but the result was a gigantic sum of over 9000 euros.
Three organizations from the Erding area benefited from this.
After the Tafel Erding and the Sophien-Hospiz each received 3,000 euros, Lebenshilfe Erding was happy to receive a check for the same amount.
The organization at the school was taken over by the social worker Felizitas Hiesgen.
She was enthusiastic about the commitment of the children and young people.
The elementary school students in particular had developed a huge ambition and thus surprised some sponsors - mainly the parents paid an amount per round.
Deschu: "Some believed that the kids couldn't do much and immediately donated ten euros per lap."
Randolf ganger, managing director of Lebenshilfe, was enthusiastic: "that's a lot of money that we can use very well."
The donation from the elementary and middle school is to be used to equip a common room.
From table football and television to games, you need a lot of things there, and they all cost money, says ganger.
However, the start of construction has not yet been determined.
District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer also came to present the check and thanked the school for its generosity.
He said to Lebenshilfe that everyone needs their space: "The donation also means that the students are made aware of such an institution."
Deschu spontaneously had the idea that middle school classes could visit a sheltered workshop run by Lebenshilfe.
ganger thought this was an excellent suggestion.
But now he was happy about the nice donation of 3000 euros.
The two class representatives Dominik von Stuckrad and Silas Robbauer handed over the check and were visibly proud of what their school had done for a good cause.
