Snack stand burned down in Bavaria: Police give suspected young people the opportunity to turn themselves in

Four teenagers may have started a fire at a diner.
The police gives them the opportunity to turn themselves in – otherwise there is a risk of a manhunt.
Lichtenfels – On Sunday morning (August 7th) a fire broke out at the Oberwallenstadt bathing lake in Lichtenfels at the “Karibisches Eck” snack stand there.

As the police announced on Monday, the evidence from the Coburg criminal police is increasing that a group of young people could be responsible for the fire.
No one was injured in the fire, but property damage was in the high five-digit range.
The emergency services were able to extinguish the fire, but in the end they were only standing in front of the remains of the former snack bar at the bathing lake there.
The first investigation results now indicate that the behavior of four young people could have been the cause.
Secure video material shows how two women and two men - all only 15 to 18 years old - broke into the "Caribbean Corner" at night.
They apparently helped themselves in the kitchen and prepared food.

In the early hours of the morning, they climb out of a window and flee under cover of darkness.
"A short time later, the snack bar was on fire," the police said in the press release.

Now the Coburg criminal police are investigating on suspicion of arson and burglary.
Officers "are addressing the four youths directly and giving them an opportunity to own up to their wrongdoing and come forward."
And further: "Should the young people not comply with this request, the Kripo Coburg will consider further and far-reaching investigative steps, such as a public search based on the video material." Witnesses are asked to call (0 95 61) 64 50 to report
