The head of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Palitsky announced that he had signed a decree on preparations for the holding of a referendum on the accession of the region to the Russian lands to the unanimity of all those present.
Palitsky's announcement came within the framework of the Forum of the Social Movement of the Zaporizhia region "We are with Russia", which took place today in the city of Melitopol and was attended by more than 700 delegates from all over the region.
The RIA Novosti agency noted that the holding of the referendum and the reunification of the Zaporozhye region with Russia had the approval of all those present at the forum.
