The Central Franconia police caused confusion and outrage on the internet with a tweet.

A hashtag that is obviously not meant to be taken seriously is heating up tempers.

Nuremberg – It is not the first time that the police in Central Franconia have caused a stir with their tweets.

Just a few months ago, a post by the officials went viral, in which the police reported on a theft.

Many Twitter users made fun of it.

People didn't find anything but funny about a guessing question about a homeless person's returnable bottle collection.

The police even apologized afterwards and deleted the post.

Now an apparently funny post is causing outrage again.

Police cause trouble on Twitter: users outraged – “inappropriate humor”

It is common for the police to report on their operations via Twitter from time to time.

A post from Saturday begins with the following sentence: "A caller from Nuremberg says that the house smells of cannabis every evening".

So far so good.

The second sentence seems to confuse some users on the web.

"Since odor nuisance is a bad thing, let's take a look at it.

#SECcomes".

Behind it is a winking smiley.

In the addendum it says under the post: "Our patrol found marijuana in one resident".

A report is imminent.

Quite a few are surprised.

"Really now?", "Seriously SEK?" Or "unbelievable" can be read in the comments.

When asked, "Is that a joke?

Please clarify!” the police said: “You can breathe easy again.

The SEK is therefore not coming for the time being.” It was obviously a joke by the officials, of course the special unit does not move out in such a case.

However, users are anything but enthusiastic about the humor of the police.

The humor is inappropriate or from the 50s can be read in the comments.

"You are really not funny" says someone, another is sure that the officials have too much free time.

Twitter user with clear message to "social media cop"

A comment is addressed directly to the social media officer responsible for the tweet.

"Hey, dear social media cop: Your job is not to make fun of people here with edgy sayings, but to bring your civil service closer to the population in a representative way," it says.

"So it would be great if you could turn off such little sayings that downplay police violence in the future." The comment received 174 likes.

However, this was promptly followed by the answer: "Take the stick out of the ass... Aren't you joking?" So some find the humor of the officers quite funny.
