Operation "Dawn" led to a minor decrease in the use of credit cards throughout the country • In the settlements surrounding Gaza, a significant decrease was recorded in the areas of consumerism

Data from the Sheba Company, which manages the national credit card payment system, indicate that the military operation "Dawn" had almost no effect on the Israeli public's spending on credit cards, but the city of Sderot suffered the greatest economic blow.

Sderot saw a decrease in spending during the last weekend (August 5-6) compared to the previous weekend (July 29-30).

In the rest of the main cities in the south and center of the country, spending on credit cards was similar and in some even increased.

Due to the T-Bav score last night, there was a decrease in expenses in the restaurant industry, fast food chains and coffee shops.

This decrease in expenses is a routine matter resulting from the closure of businesses in the industry.

In the city of Sderot, there was a decrease in the clothing and footwear sector from revenues of NIS 200,000 on July 29-30 to NIS 142,000 on August 5-6.

In the area of shops, books, office equipment and toys there was a decrease from NIS 66,000 to NIS 46,000.

The sector of restaurants, fast food and coffee shops in Sderot naturally suffered, when in this sector there was a drop from NIS 254,000 to NIS 208,000.

The most drastic decrease was recorded in the area of containers and explosions, where there was a significant decrease from NIS 301,000 to NIS 167,000.
