A pork stall at Luen Wo Market Market in Fanling was splashed with red paint yesterday (7th) and the police rushed to the nearby Wo Tai Street and arrested a 47-year-old South Asian man.
The footage of the suspect's crime was exposed. The CCTV footage of the scene showed that there were many customers queuing up at the pork stall at that time. A female clerk was greeting the customers. The man involved in the case, wearing a peaked cap, a floral shirt and shorts, was holding a bag and two cans of paint. Approaching from the left side of the stall, he suddenly threw the bag and paint in his hand towards the stall. The crime took only 5 seconds; after that, the suspect turned around and fled in the direction of Hetai Street, and was finally intercepted by the police.
During the incident, the 34-year-old owner of the pork stall surnamed Deng Nan and the 46-year-old customer surnamed Zeng were both splashed with red oil; Zeng Nv was sent to the North District Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Afterwards, many pork stalls and a large batch of pork were stained with red oil and were unable to open for business. Today (8th), the stall owner arranged for cleaning staff to carry out a large cleaning. Or take one to two days.

The owner of the file, Mr. Deng, told "Hong Kong 01" today that he followed the suspect after the incident yesterday and chased him out of the market.
Deng was puzzled by the destruction of the stall, so he said that he had no grudges against anyone, nor money or business disputes.
The incident happened at about 12:40 noon yesterday. The pork stall was photographed on CCTV. At that time, a man wearing a peaked cap, a floral shirt and shorts walked outside the pork stall with a bag and two cans of paint. He suddenly walked away. After the criminals succeeded, they fled in the direction of Hetai Street. The police arrived and arrested a 47-year-old South Asian man on Hetai Street.
The suspect was taken back to the police station for detention for investigation. The police classified the case as criminal damage and common assault, and handed it over to the Tai Po District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
