A residential fire broke out in Tuen Mun.
At about 1:58 a.m. today (9th), a unit in Siu Wing Building, Siu Hong Court, caught fire with dense smoke, which alerted a large number of residents to report for help. Some people were trapped in the unit and could not escape.
The firefighters arrived to set up a temporary command station, and used a hose and a team of smoke caps to put out the fire, and put the fire out at 2:44 in the morning.
During the fire, at least 4 people were initially sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment, including 2 elderly women, an elderly man and a woman. Fortunately, all of them were awake. About 80 residents were evacuated to a safe place for shelter.
