1. Excessive or inconvenient parking
Leaving your vehicle parked while on vacation is not the best thing to do.
Indeed, your vehicle will be fined if it is parked at the same point on the public road for a period exceeding seven days or for a shorter period depending on the local decree (24 or 48 hours).
On vacation as at home, you are prohibited from parking in front of your gate since you cannot "privatize" the public domain.
2. Very inconvenient parking
Very inconvenient parking is punishable by a penalty of 135 euros.
It concerns, for example, vehicles parked on the sidewalk, on cycle lanes or greenways, or even on a pedestrian crossing.
3. Dangerous parking
The Highway Code sanctions a fine of 135 euros and a loss of 3 points for parking that creates a danger for other users.
Anarchic parking such as at the top of a hill, on bends, etc., even to find a place to go swimming can therefore be expensive for its author.
In any case, the vehicle can be removed and impounded.
4. Paid Parking (FPS)
Most cities impose paid parking all year round, even in summer, sanctioned by a Forfait Post Parking (FPS).
While for all other types of parking (abusive, dangerous, inconvenient, etc.), only one fine can be noted, with regard to the FPS, a new offense can be noted each time the maximum payment period is exceeded .
