With this additional contact point, the larger community wants to make the local trade "more visible".

Vaterstetten – The large community of Vaterstetten in the western district has a municipal business promoter in Georg Kast in the town hall, with CSU parliamentary group leader Michael Niebler an economics officer in the municipal council and a trade association.

On top of that, an economic advisory board has now been set up.

In the future, ideas, wishes and problems of the trade should be better heard, according to the town hall.

Mayor Leonhard Spitzauer (CSU) speaks of a “clear need to catch up”.

"We have to listen even more and better to our tradespeople, who ultimately make it possible for us not only to manage Vaterstetten, but to shape it."

According to the municipal business promoter Georg Kast, there is a lack of young people in the companies

Niebler states: "Many citizens, but also individual local companies, sometimes do not even know what is generated in our community - regardless of whether it is produced goods or offered services.

This is where we want to start and significantly improve the information policy.” The clear goal is that the considerable added value that takes place on site stays more in the community.

Municipal economic promoter Georg Kast is convinced that the Economic Advisory Board “can close an important gap”.

“Our companies lack young talent.

There are many attractive apprenticeships and internships, but hardly anyone knows what is on offer.

Here we will first find solutions together with the schools and through mentoring projects.

It's a win-win situation for everyone.” Kast is to take the lead in consolidating concrete measures based on the results of the talks.

Michael Niebler is to take over as head of the Economic Advisory Board

In principle, added value should remain more in the community "We buy locally", according to the overriding credo of the Economic Advisory Board.

Niebler is to take over its management and act as a contact for the local trade.

"Selected local companies" should be on the committee, as well as Mayor Spitzauer, business developer Kast, treasurer Markus Porombka and Axel Weingärtner (Greens) as the municipal council's finance officer.

Permanent members include Peter Kraus, Sonja Ziegltrum-Teubner and Rita Vollmayer, spokespersons for the trade association, the IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria and the Chamber of Crafts.

In addition, there are representatives of the factions represented in the municipal council.

That's what our editor Robert Langer thinks of the new committee.
