Two men were indicted on Saturday in Versailles. They are suspected of having acted as accomplices in this kidnapping and murder case.

A conflict over money and the theft of a moto-cross would be the cause of this tragic settling of accounts where there are still many gray areas.

Two men were indicted on Saturday in Versailles (Yvelines), for kidnapping and murder in an organized gang.

They are suspected of having participated last Tuesday, between Fontenay-le-Fleury and Carrières-sous-Poissy in the kidnapping and fatal beating of Kémys, a 20-year-old young man.

It was around 3:30 p.m. in Square Lamartine that the police were called to put an end to a fight.

When the officials arrive on the scene the young people disperse.

The police learn that an unapproved motocross was to be sold during a meeting.

But two of the buyers would have fled with the machine.

They find Kémys, the only buyer left behind, who hid in a garbage room after being beaten up by at least six people.

The young man does not want to file a complaint and the police drive him to the Montigny-le-Bretonneux station so that he can return home without being worried.

But the Fontenay band does not intend to stop there and does everything possible to find the machine.

Beaten to reveal where the motorcycle is

Around 4:30 p.m., a Peugeot 208 with five young people on board found Kémys at Montigny station.

The boy tries to flee but two of them grab him by the arms and bring him back to the vehicle.

Two witnesses try to intervene and dissuade them from putting the boy in the trunk.

The driver of the 208 speaks to them very politely, explaining that he is a motorbike thief and that they are going to take him to the police station.

But they go to a wood where he is beaten again to reveal where the motorcycle is.

Around 7:45 p.m. avenue Ernest Jolly in Carrières-sous-Poissy, a local resident found the young man inert in the parking lot.

He places him in the lateral safety position and alerts the emergency services.

The firefighters intervene and call the police.

This boy is none other than Kémys and he is brain dead.

The victim is transported to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital (Val-de-Marne) in a desperate state.

He suffered from two subdural hematomas, a broken jaw and numerous bruises.

He breathed his last on Wednesday morning.

This boy had not been spared by life.

He had been placed in a home after several runaways.

His father is a homeless cocaine addict while his mother, who lives in Carrières-sous-Poissy, was followed by social services because she had difficulty raising her son.

Kémys was staying in a hotel in the area and he was already known to the police.

Asked to help find a motorcycle thief

At 11:10 p.m., the police carried out a surveillance operation in Fontenay-le-Fleury in front of the accommodation of the owner of the 208 identified as one of the main suspects.

They see him driving home in his car, dressed in a red t-shirt and is arrested.

The next morning, a second suspect pushes the door of the Poissy police station to explain the role he played in this story.

He is apprehended in turn.

The two men are placed in police custody in the premises of the criminal brigade of the judicial police of Versailles.

The first, Mamadou, is a boy with no history.

As a student, he did odd jobs as delivery men to support himself.

He admits that he was driving the car when Kémys was kidnapped.

"He says he was asked to find a motorcycle thief," said a source close to the case.

The individual specifies that he left his friends with the young man in a wood asking them not to hit him.

When he came to collect his car, he found that they had not listened to him.

And later, while he was working, he received a message on "Snapchat" with a picture of the motorcycle on a truck.

He confides that a rumor circulates in the neighborhood about this motorcycle which would be the payment of an obscure debt.

The motorcycle recovered in Carrières-sous-Poissy

The second man arrested, Yssam, is a former Fontenay-le-Fleury who works as an elevator operator and who now lives in Carrières-sous-Poissy.

He explains that he would have been asked to play the intermediary and recover the stolen motorcycle.

Thanks to the information provided by Kémys, he found the motorcycle in his neighborhood and brought it back to Saint-Cyr-l'École.

Yssam says he left by car with the victim, who accompanied him on two recovery missions.

Seconds after dropping him off in his mother's neighborhood, he saw two men punch him.

He allegedly asked them to stop and left the scene while Kémys was still standing.

CCTV footage contradicts this.

They show two strangers attacking the victim in the parking lot.

The first throws him a violent punch which makes him fall and the second gives him a very powerful kick in the head which makes him sink into unconsciousness.
