Against the background of the energy crisis, Aying's mayor Peter Wagner (CSU) has now publicly called for energy saving in the most recent municipal council meeting.
Aying -
Wagner appealed to heat as effectively as possible and to use as little gas as possible in the coming weeks.
"Every kilowatt hour of electricity that we save now is good." With a view to autumn and winter, he doesn't want to paint things black, says Wagner.
But his prognosis doesn't look particularly good, even for Aying: "It could be cold and dark in some parts." In other words, the municipality must also consider where it can make savings in the coming weeks and months so that it can do reasonably well makes ends meet through the dark and cold months.
Wagner was also unable to say exactly where the potential for savings lies.
He wanted to set an example now, to sensitize and warn the public.
