The Malian army announced that at least 17 soldiers and 4 civilians were killed in a terrorist attack yesterday in the town of Tisset, near the borders with Burkina Faso and Niger in the north of the country.
"About 22 soldiers were wounded in this attack, while 9 other soldiers were considered missing," the army said in a statement today, adding that the death toll was likely to rise.
The army stated that it killed 7 of the attackers, who are likely to belong to the terrorist organization “ISIS”, pointing out that the attack caused damage to the residents’ homes.
