According to intelligence analysis, officers of the Special Duty Team of Sham Shui Po Police District launched an operation at about 6 pm today (9th) to raid the area around Ap Liu Street and smashed a shop suspected of operating an unlicensed massage parlor and an illegal casino.
During the operation, the police arrested 9 men and women, and seized a batch of gambling equipment, some mahjong tables, several massage beds, some massage oils, and about 535 yuan in cash.
Detectives arrested a man surnamed Pang local (70 years old) in the unit on suspicion of "managing an unlicensed massage parlour", "managing an illegal casino" and violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F).
Four local women (aged between 45 and 48) in the unit were arrested on suspicion of "assisting in the management of an unlicensed massage parlour".
In addition, the detectives also arrested a local man and three local women (aged between 41 and 68) in the unit on suspicion of "gambling in a gambling establishment", and the four men and women failed to show the "Safe Travel" scan at the same time Records were charged for allegedly contravening the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F).
All arrested persons are being detained by police for investigation.
