Böbing – Better headbanging than worrying about the Böbing Openair coming about due to corona: planning, organizing, canceling and the same thing from the beginning, the organizers have been grappling with that in the past two years.
But this time, next weekend, August 12th to 14th, it finally works again.
After those responsible had successfully tried out stream formats several times in the meantime, it's now going back to the roots.
And they are on the Böbinger sports field.
The Lechkurier/Kreisbote is giving away 4x2 tickets.
"We expect good weather, lots of people, a happy and long weekend," Tobias Braun is happy that the Böbing Openair can finally go up again.
He and his colleagues from the organization team are preparing for around 1,500 to 1,800 people a day.
The good pre-sale figures prove this, but are difficult to classify - after all, there are also tickets that had already been sold for BOA 2020, Braun refers to the organizational difficulties of recent years, including cancellations a few weeks in advance.
But now the final preparatory work is underway, "it's only relaxed again when everything is over," says Braun.
Because, among other things, the line-up for the 35th anniversary has it all.
The fact that Böbing has been a well-rehearsed team for a long time has now proved particularly useful.
"We notice it all around at other festivals that suffer from poor advance booking numbers or organizational difficulties and cancel," says Braun, describing the fact that the last two years have left their mark on the events industry.
The best example: The Puls Open Air, which had to be canceled during the current festival due to a lack of security personnel.
"We're lucky that we've been working with the same partners for years," explains Braun.
The BOA can finally take place again.
The Kreisbote/Lechkurier is giving away 4x2 tickets (see the text below).
These bands are there:
The O'Reillys and the Paddyhats
: Rock and punk influences with Irish music - this recipe brings the bands to stages all over Europe, including Wacken Open Air. The album "Dogs on the Leash" made it into the charts 33rd place. "Raw rock music in combination with traditional, passionate folk music", which has already been clicked over 51 million times on YouTube, sums up the BOA makers.
Stepfather Fred:
The four boys from the Allgäu are practically part of the inventory in Böbing.
"As always, they will play a proper board and bring the arena to a boil," promises the BOA team.
Dune Pilot:
"After a long, long time, a stoner band at the BOA again," the organizing team is happy about the guests from Munich.
BastardBabes: Straightforward
punk'n'roll is in good hands at the BOA and so are the BastardBabes - accordingly, the band is already one of the old hands in Böbing.

Application is out: Schongau is to become the location for the central clinic
Emil Bulls:
Well-known name and a popular live band throughout Europe - in 2020 the Emil Bulls were planned as the first headliner, and the commitment was also for 2021 - the band is also true to their word for a third time.
Landslide Diary:
A rather new band, whose members have already gained Böbing experience as part of the ska combo The Prosecution.
"They'll really rock," the makers of the BOA are sure.
Gamskampler:
Folk music with Gwoit - "one of our regional greats of recent years is doing the honors again," says the BOA team, looking forward to one of the most active local live bands.
Talco:
A highlight that will go down in the history books of the BOA - nothing more and nothing less is expected from one of the two Friday headliners.
After all, there comes one of the "top three ska bands in Europe".
Orchester Kurzweil:
A home game on Sunday: "Freaky original compositions and the classics like you've never heard them before - but you definitely want to hear them again."
Turbobier: In
2018 they turned the pitch inside out - consequently, Turbobier got more playing time this time.
"That also means that you can shoot completely freely," the BOA crew prepares for a proper level of escalation.

Spider Murphy Gang:
It doesn't need a lot of words: Bavaria's most popular rock'n'roll band - for 45 years.
Layla vs Rosi?
That would be an unequal showdown.
Sweeping Death:
“Certainly the flagship of the region in the metal genre”, the BOA organizers are happy about the renewed commitment.
The Baboon Show:
"Perhaps our biggest hit so far" announces the Böbing Openair with the four Swedes "one of the best live bands in Europe".
"The energy and power that the band bring to the stage is truly amazing."
The Stevers:
The "important stone" for the local cultural scene opens on Friday before singer Caro joins the streaming team again.
"A great opener for our anniversary weekend."
BeatBulls:
"There can't really be a BOA without the BeatBulls." The evergreen for the after-show party remains loyal to Böbing.
Troublemaker's Riot:
A new addition to the after show party.
"After all the punk, ska and metal later in the evening, really good rock'n'roll."
Brass band Böbing:
Founded 162 years ago - not even the Spider Murphy Gang cracked this mark.
No Weißwurst morning pint at the BOA without the brass band.
Slears: Slears
play hard modern rock from Bavaria - and they want to sound at least as consistent, powerful and full of suspense as the style-defining American bands.
Still Pissed:
For almost two decades and earlier on the stage under names like Pogofront, Empty Youth or NRNO, Still Pissed describe their music as "fast, uncompromising and anti-fascist hardcore punk".
Mr. Mojoe: As a matter of
principle, Mr. Mojoe doesn't want to be assigned to any genre - the claim to himself is nothing less than to be the "ultimate antidote to the bland canned cliché".
"Pre-Alpine clichés have no place with Mr. Mojoe."
